Alicia is a Philadelphia-based fire performer, flow arts instructor, and community organizer focused on creating accessible spaces for people to learn, practice, and grow. Her work is centered around building real community through movement, creativity, and shared experience.
She is the founder of Philly Flow Academy, where she teaches flow arts and fire performance in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment. The goal is simple: help people pick up a prop, feel confident, and become part of the community. Classes range from fundamentals to performance-focused workshops, with an emphasis on consistency, safety, and developing personal style.
Alicia also runs Minimal Chaos Collective, which produces public flow jams, fire spinning gatherings, and community movement events throughout Philadelphia. These events are designed to be welcoming, low-pressure spaces where people can practice, collaborate, and connect. What started as one person spinning in the park has grown into a consistent community with music, performers, and shared creative energy.
She also hosts Philly Moon Jams, recurring gatherings that bring together flow artists, fire performers, and movement-based creatives. These events focus on accessibility, safety, and giving people a place to show up, practice, and be part of something.
Alicia was awarded a Tier 2 grant from Fund the Flow Arts to support expanded flow arts programming and community education in Philadelphia. The grant helps support workshops, accessible learning opportunities, and continued growth of the local scene.
She is also organizing Flow Fest Philly, a large-scale flow arts festival focused on workshops, performances, and community gathering. The event brings together instructors and artists from around the region while also creating an entry point for beginners who want to explore flow arts for the first time.
In addition to her event and community work, Alicia holds multiple certificates in project management, leadership, and communication. Her training includes project management coursework through IBM and Google, management fundamentals through Wharton Online, and communication and emotional intelligence studies through Yale Online. This background supports her ability to plan events, coordinate teams, manage logistics, and build sustainable community programs.
Across her work, Alicia has hosted hundreds of fire jams, organized community events, taught workshops, and helped grow Philadelphia’s flow arts scene into something consistent and welcoming. Her focus is on accessibility, safety, and creating spaces where people feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are.
